Where to Get a Free Blog
Wordpress.com is the
blogging platform I use for my free blogs. They have some great blogging features, and you can be up and blogging in minutes after just signing up. Have your email address ready.
Choose, Domain, Password, Username
You will be requested to create
A Domain name
A Username
A Password
Try to pick a username and password that you will remember so that you don’t have to look it up each the time. Be sure to write it down in your notebook, so you have it handy when you need it.
You will receive login Details
Wordpress.com is great because they will send you an email to the email address that you provide, with your entire login details in case you forget as well.
Your domain name will be...
www.yourdomainname.wordpress.com
Your username will be already filled in as a default
You will have to create a password for your blog
Be sure to have your notebook handy so that you can write down your login info.
Upload a profile photo
Many blog visitors /subscribers like to have a face to put to the blog posts and pages they are reading.
Why not give them what they want? Adding a photo of yourself to your blog allows you to sell more products and services, because it gives, your visitors a human feel on the 'cold' elusive internet, which helps to build trust.
Follow these instructions under your wordpress.com dashboard, to add a photo to your profile.

Wordpress.com & wordpress.org offers free keywords
Wordpress.com gives you free keywords/keyword phrases to blog about once you start getting some traffic. These keywords are great because this indicates through what keywords people are finding your blog, and what search terms people are using regarding your blog topic.
